Some people think love

Is a physical thing.

That happens between

Two human beings.

Each day the Lord gives us

A new and wonderful start.

And true love grows

In a warm loving heart.

There’s beautiful love

between a husband and wife.

That with the help of God

Will last their whole life.

There’s love for your children

That never ends.

And you remember fondly

Of when it began.

Love is precious

For all who’s alive.

For without love

We’d want to curl up and die.

All is not lost

In this world that we live.

God loved us so much

For his Son He did give.

Jesus died on the cross

For you and me.

What greater love

Can there possibly be?

My Friend

How can you really tell,

When someone is your friend?

I pray that these few words,

Will help you understand.

A friend listens closely,

When you’re feeling so confused.

Giving you advice,

‘Cause they care so much for you.

Or when your heart is broken,

And you’re in so much pain.

Your friend is there to hold you,

As the tears fall like rain.

When exciting things happen,

In this life God has for you.

Once again, you call your friend,

To share the wonderful news.

They laugh with you, cry with you,

And sometimes they’ll even scold you.

But one thing is for certain,

A true friend is always there for you.

So, I want to thank the Lord above,

For the friendship that we have.

For God knows our every need,

As He placed you in my path.

Thank You For Being My Friend!

When the world comes against me,

And I feel all alone.

And the pain is so great

I curl up in a ball.

I shed tears in my pillow,

As each lonely day goes by.

Asking, why Lord?

Please, just tell me why!

Why am I so blue Lord,

Is what I ask today.

Why do I feel unwanted,

Please take this pain away?

Please tell me now Lord,

How and where did I go wrong?

Please Lord, just tell me

Don’t make me wait to long.

What’s wrong with this picture,

Is what I ask myself.

Am I living for you Lord,

Or do I put you on a shelf?

Am I doing things to please you,

Is what I want to ask.

Or do I want to please myself,

When you give to me a task?

Am I letting You guide me,

In my daily walk with You?

Or do I run the other way,

When there are things to do?

Lord, do I turn my back,

When you try to speak to me?

Or do I cry, Hallelujah!

It’s the voice of my King!

Is this why, O Lord,

I’m going through all of this?

Because I’m not listening,

Or is it a test?

Please Lord, Tell Me!

Each day I should thank you Lord,

For all that you have done.

My life wouldn’t be the same,

If I turned and you were gone.

Some times I forget to say,
Thank you for this day.
And still you greatly bless me Lord,
In so many ways.

You’ve blessed me with a family,
That means so much to me.
We have a special bond of love
For all the world to see.

You’ve given me a place to live,
Where I lay my head each night.
Knowing your love is here with me,
Helps me sleep ‘til morning light.

You put the food upon my table,
That feeds this body of mine.
But the food you give my spirit,
Gives me strength for all time.

You’ve touched me in so many ways,
With Your precious healing hand.
And when I tell what You have done,
Some will not understand.

You provide me with my every need,
In this world in which I live.
Thank you for your love, dear Lord,
And for the Son that you did give.

What can I say,

When you feel all alone?

So lost in this world

Just needing someone.

What can I say,

When I see pain in your eyes,

The heart break you feel

When a loved one dies.

What can I say,

When the world is so cruel,

Calling you names

And laughing at you.

What can I say,

When life is to much?

You go through struggles

And want to give up.

What can I say,

When life falls apart?

Turn to our Lord

Let Him live in your heart.

Be true to Him

In all that you do.

For Jesus Christ

Is here with you.

My prayer to you dear Lord,

Is for my loving grandchildren.

What they’ll have to face,

In this world full of sin.

Keep my babies safe dear Lord

In this life that can be cruel.

For temptation will surely tease them

In ways that look so cool.

They mean the world to me Lord,

As you already know.

I worry they will turn from You,

Please tell me this isn’t so.

Help me Lord to teach them

What is right and what is wrong.

I pray they will listen

And grow up to be strong.

I’m trusting You to keep them safe

With Your hand from up above.

And to show them that I love them

With the heart of a Mema’s love.

When something happens in your life

That you don’t quite understand.

Maybe you should think of someone else

In this life that God has planed.

What about the woman,

That lives just down the street.

Maybe she needs a little help,

Or a smile so soft and sweet.

Or the man who lost a leg,

In a war so long ago.

Let him know you love him,

Or maybe say hello.

What about the little girl

Wondering where her dog has gone.

Why don’t we try to find her friend,

So she doesn’t feel alone.

And what about the mother

Whose son went off to war.

Facing the unknown,

 Fear knocking on the door.

So why do things happen,

Is the question that we ask.

Maybe God allows it,

So we can help someone else.

When love is great between the two,

Yes is all that she can say.

There’s more to a marriage

Than love that you will share.

You have to learn to give and take

That’s how you show you care.

You are two before you marry,

Then your wedding vows you’ll say.

That’s when in the eyes of God,

You are one on that day.

You’ll have days of disagreements

That’s normal in this life.

One thing you must remember,

Don’t let it last the night.

Ask God to bless this marriage

Each and every day.

Show respect for each other

I cry out to you Lord,

When I do stupid things,

You’re always there, to take my hand.

You guide me through the mess I’m in,

Teaching me to be strong again.

I cry out to you Lord,

When things go wrong,

You’re always there, and say hold on.

When things happen I can’t control,

You’re there to remind me it won’t last long.

I cry out to you Lord,

When I’m in pain,

You’re always there, to comfort me.

Tears are like a cleansing rain,

Are the whispered words you say to me.

I cry out to you Lord,

When I have a disease,

You’re always there, and say trust in Me.

Your love is great, beyond compare.

For I am healed by the stripes you ware.

So, I cry out to you Lord, once again.

The fear I will stumble and fall in sin.

You’re never alone child, You say to me.

For I’m here to help you, when there’s a need.

You’re love is great Lord, this I know.

For You sent your Son to die for my soul.

Through Jesus Christ I am alive.

Thank you Lord for eternal life.

How do you know if God’s with you

Is a question people ask.

Look around at what you see,

Now let’s sit and have a chat.

We are made in our Lord’s image

Is what the Bible says.

He has to be here with you

If you’re going to be blessed.

As the wind blows gently through your hair

And the sunshine warms your cheeks.

How can you wonder if God is here

When you see the mountain peaks.

As you watch the sunrise in the east,

And hear the morning dove.

Look around you one more time,

Don’t you see His love?

As you smell the morning dew

Or watch a falling star.

How can you wonder if God’s with you

Just look at who you are.

God sent His Son to die for you

To save you from your sins.

Don’t you think it’s time to pray

And open your heart to Him?

When we speak the truth today,

Some people think we’re odd.

But the only way to learn the truth,

Is though the Word of God.
